Still having trouble posting photos, which is sad because I have some great photos from our trip to see President Warren G Harding and the Haunted Tombstone of Marion, OH.
So, until I can get the pictures working, I leave you with this:
Nathan Sawaya: the art of the brick
I know we've all seen weird lego art before--the brick testament, etc.
This is Head and Shoulders Above that stuff. I'm talking Han Solo in carbonite.
I'm talking an amazingly lifelike representation of an Eileen Fisher dress.
I'm talking much, much more.
And all made out of legos.
Rock.
Happy Labor Day 2023!

Oh crumbs,
are Legos Swedish or Norwegian? or one of those "other" Scandinavian-type countries, like Denmark or Holland? Well, betraying my pathetic unsophisticated self yet again...
My little boy is obsessed with Lego products. We went to Chicago last year, and the mall that had a Lego store also had amazing public Lego sculptures.
I got curious myself, and found the very cool Lego website. They are in Danish--the word Lego actually comes from two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". In addition to some other cool stuff, they have a neat-o interactive movie that shows how Legos are made:
The factory has roaming delivery robots! Very cool!
Oh my, must check this all out on a hi-speed connection, dial-up is crashing on me.
Thank you. Danish. Must commit that to memory.
Son is the world's biggest fan of both Legos bricks and the Lego-Star Wars II PS2 game (came out on Tuesday, Sept. 12)
Love the gorilla and the ape on the Nathan Sawaya site.
