How the mighty have fallen

Geez, I knew the last Bond movie, Die Another Day wasn't a super hit, but I didn't know Mr. Brosnan had to change his name to get work...

Drove by a sign you would like, four or five times today. Every time, it made me smile. Bet you would like it too!

Giant flashing road sign (the kind with crawling, light-up letters):

FALLOW DETOUR.

"Fallow" is the beautiful and exotic color of our Canadian bulldog. It is a mix of yellow and gray fur. A very obscure word, I think.

I love that sign.

My sister is dyslexic and she used to write me notes that always started out with a cheery "Hellow!". Like yellow or mellow.

Little son is also probably dyslexic. He just learned to read. Suddenly, he carefully enunciates the -ed endings on all words. For example "I play-ED with my friend, Zac." Because he is mentally "reading" those words?

Dunno, but the world is hard on dyslexic spellers.

I love Mr. Brosnan's peircing blue eyes. Also, think there may be a possibility for a porn film starring him and called Ramington Steele.

I'll stop now.

Laundress--I love that sign! I wonder if they meant fallow as in fallow field? The detour not to be taken?

Used to be a reading tutor, and I think you are right on the mark about H's pronunciation. He is likely "reading" in his head, and once he gets more experience under his belt will stop with the -ed endings. Or maybe he is British?

Nonanon--all I can can say is GROAN. I'll look for Ramington Steele though...
